The starter motor fails to turn.
NOTE:
- Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Seats
2. Fuel tank
3. Left lower side cowling
4. Left upper side cowling
Starting circuit cut-off system operation
If the engine stop switch is set to "
" and the main switch is set to
"ON" (both switches are closed), the
starter motor can only operate if at least one of the following conditions is
met:

Vehicle identification number
The vehicle identification number "1" is stamped
into the right side of the steering head pipe.
Model label
The model label "1" is affixed to the frame. This
information will be needed to order spare parts.

Checking the clutch housing
1. Check:
Clutch housing dogs "1"
Damage/pitting/wear
Deburr the clutch
housing dogs or replace the clutch housing.
NOTE:
Pitting on the clutch housing dogs will cause erratic
clutch operation.

Checking the turn signal relay
1. Check:
Turn signal relay input voltage
Out of specification →The wiring circuit
from
the main switch to the turn signal relay coupler
is faulty and must be repaired.

turn signal relay terminal as shown.
