Yamaha YZF-R125 Service Manual: Checking the crankcase
1. Thoroughly wash the crankcase halves in a mild solvent.
2. Thoroughly clean all the gasket surfaces and crankcase mating surfaces.
3. Check:
- Crankcase
Cracks/damage
Replace. - Oil delivery passages
Obstruction
Blow out with
compressed air.

Loosen each bolt 1/4 of a turn at a time, in stages
and in the proper sequence as shown.

Checking the relays
Check each switch for continuity with the pocket
tester. If the continuity reading is incorrect, replace
the relay.
1. Disconnect the relay from the wire harness.
2. Connect the pocket tester ( × 1) and battery
(12 V) to the relay terminal as shown.

Removing the fuel tank
1. Extract the fuel in the fuel tank through the
fuel tank filler hole with a pump.
2. Remove:
Fuel hose connector cover "1"

hose with tools.
