Yamaha YZF-R125 Service Manual: Checking the swingarm
1. Check:
- Swingarm
Bends/cracks/damage
Replace.
2. Check:
- Pivot shaft
Roll the pivot shaft on a flat surface.
Bends
Replace.
| WARNING Do not attempt to straighten a bent pivot shaft. |
3. Wash:
- Pivot shaft
- Washer
- Swingarm adjusting collar
- Dust covers
- Spacers
- Bearings
4. Check:
- Washer
- Swingarm adjusting collar
- Dust covers
- Spacers
Oil seals
Damage/wear 
Replace.
- Bearings
Damage/pitting Replace.

1. Stand the vehicle on a level surface.

edge "a" is facing away from the toothed washer
and gear.

Turn the crankshaft slowly.
