Any of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight, license plate light, auxiliary light or meter light.
NOTE:
- Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Seats

Installing the starter clutch
1. Install:
Starter clutch assembly
Starter clutch bolts "1"
NOTE:
While holding the generator rotor "2" with the
sheave holder "3", tighten the starter clutch
bolts.
Do not allow the sheave holder to touch the
projection on the generator rotor.
Stake the end "a" of each start ...
Installing the shift forks and shift drum assembly
1. Install:
Shift fork-L "1"
Shift fork-C "2"
Shift fork-R "3"
Shift drum assembly "4"
Springs
Shift fork guide bar "5"
NOTE:
The embossed marks on the shift forks should
face towards the right side of the engine and be
in the following sequence: "R", "C", "L".

Checking the fuel line
1. Remove:
Left side panel
Refer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.
2. Lift the fuel tank. (Do not disconnect the fuel
hose, drain hose
3. Check:
Fuel hose "1"
Cracks/damage → Replace.
