Installing the air filter case
1. Install:
- Air filter case joint clamp
NOTE:
Align the projection "a" on the air filter case with the slot "b" in the air filter case joint clamp.

1. Check:
Oil pump drive gear
Oil pump driven gear
Oil pump housing
Oil pump housing cover
Cracks/damage/wear Replace the
defective
part(s).
2. Measure:
Inner-rotor-to-outer-rotor-tip clearance "a"
Outer-rotor-to-oil-pump-housing clearance
"b"

Rider seat
To remove the rider seat
Insert the key into the seat lock,
and then turn it clockwise.
Seat lock
Open.
Pull the rider seat off.
To install the rider seat
1. Insert the projection on the front of
the rider seat into the seat holder
as shown.

Checking the timing chain tensioner
1. Check:
Timing chain tensioner
Cracks/damage/rough movement Replace.
a. Lightly press the timing chain tensioner rod
into the timing chain tensioner housing by
hand.
NOTE:
While pressing the timing chain tensioner rod,
wind it clockwise with a thin screwdriver "1" until
it stops.
