Yamaha YZF-R125 Service Manual: Removing the rear wheel (disc)
1. Stand the vehicle on a level surface.
| WARNING Securely support the vehicle so that there is no danger of it falling over. |
2. Elevate:
- Rear wheel
NOTE:
Place the vehicle on a suitable stand so that the rear wheel is elevated.
3. Remove:
- Rear brake caliper
NOTE:
Do not depress the brake pedal when removing the rear wheel.
4. Loosen:
- Drive chain adjusting locknut
- Drive chain adjusting bolt
5. Remove:
- Rear wheel axle nut
- Rear wheel axle
- Drive chain pullers
- Collars
- Rear wheel
NOTE:
Push the rear wheel forward and remove the drive chain from the rear wheel sprocket.
Disassembling the rear wheel
1. Remove:
- Oil seals
- Wheel bearings Refer to "DISASSEMBLING THE FRONT WHEEL" on page 4-8.

1. Check:
Rear wheel axle

Wheel bearings
Oil seals
Refer to "CHECKING THE FRONT WHEEL"

Removing the starter clutch
1. Remove:
Starter clutch bolts "1"
NOTE:
While holding the generator rotor "2" with the
sheave holder "3", remove the starter clutch
bolts.
Do not allow the sheave holder to touch the
projection on the generator rotor.

1. Install:
Copper washers "1"
Brake hose "2"
Rear brake light switch "3"
