Yamaha YZF-R125 Service Manual: Installing the starter clutch
1. Install:
- Starter clutch assembly
- Starter clutch bolts "1"
NOTE:
- While holding the generator rotor "2" with the sheave holder "3", tighten the starter clutch bolts.
- Do not allow the sheave holder to touch the projection on the generator rotor.
- Stake the end "a" of each starter clutch bolt.
Checking the starter clutch
1. Check:
Starter clutch rollers "1"
Starter clutch spring caps "2"
Starter clutch springs "3"
Damage/wear Replace the starter
clutch
assembly.
2. Check:
Starter clutch idle ge ...

1. Install:
Woodruff key
Generator rotor
Washer
Generator rotor nut
NOTE:
Clean the tapered portion of the crankshaft and
the generator rotor hub.

Checking the cooling system
1. Remove:
Side covers
Upper side cowlings
Refer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.
2. Check:
Radiator "1"
Radiator inlet hose "2"
Radiator outlet hose "3"
Coolant reservoir hose "4"
Water pump breather hose "5"
Cracks/damage → Replace.
