1. Fill:
- Cooling system (with the specified amount of the recommended coolant) Refer to "CHANGING THE COOLANT" on page 3-15.
2. Check:
- Cooling system
Leaks
Repair or replace any
faulty part.
3. Measure:
- Radiator cap opening pressure
Below the specified pressure
Replace
the radiator cap.Refer to "CHECKING THE RADIATOR" on page 6-3.
Checking the radiator
1. Check:
Radiator fins
obstruction clean.
Apply compressed air to the rear of the radiator.

Checking and lubricating the cables
The following procedure applies to all of the inner
and outer cables.
WARNINGDamaged outer cable may cause the cable to
corrode and interfere with its movement. Replace
damaged outer cable and inner cables
as soon as possible.

Assembling the crankcase
1. Thoroughly clean all the gasket mating surfaces
and crankcase mating surfaces.
2. Apply:
Sealant
(onto the crankcase mating surfaces)
NOTE:
Do not allow any sealant to come into contact
with the oil gallery.
